What would a June be without a packed wedding schedule? The summer is almost here and that means your calendar of wedding dates that once seemed far away are coming up quickly. I absolutely love weddings. Being with friends and family, dancing, celebrating love (did I mention the open bar?) are something to look forward to every year! As much as I’m not going to be planning my own wedding anytime soon, I thrive being a wedding guest to the fullest.
Strutting into Memorial Day weekend like…this burst of summer is putting endless smiles on my face. The opportunity to wear anything other than denim jeans has me thriving. The first of many summer outfits, I decided to kick it off with a bang.
Cheers to being halfway through the week loves! I hope you’ve all been having a productive week. I also wanted to give a huge congrats to those that graduated this semester! You might not know it yet, but you’re in for some of the best years of your life.
I was driving on my way home this afternoon and was having all of these thoughts running through my mind. (I find I have the most clarity while driving.) I felt that I needed to write these thoughts down and share them with you. I’ve been going through some changes in my life recently and I know a lot of you are as well – especially the newest graduates. For me, I feel like I’ve finally come to the point where I can accept and embrace change whether it’s wanted or not. Here’s why:
Lets talk Royal and the Disney fairytale that is the love story of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. I usually don’t keep up with the Royals too much, but just like the rest of the world, there was no way I was missing this wedding. Don’t tell me you didn’t get up early to watch it too…From the dress and Meghan’s stunning presence, every single thing about Harry (love him), the Queen’s attire, and the hot guest list, I didn’t want to miss a detail. In honor of the wedding, I needed to do a blogpost about Meghan Markle and her impeccable style.
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good denim whether it’s jeans, skirts or shorts. But when it comes to picking out summer outfits, the temp can get way too hot to wear any kind of denim fabric – even denim shorts. In the blazing heat, the lighter the layer the better. Don’t worry, I got you covered! I list below some of the cutest summer shorts that aren’t denim. These cute picks are easy and breezy and will leave you feeling cool when the weather is just too hot to handle! You’ll be chic and comfortable – the best of both worlds.
Happy Wednesday loves! I hope you’ve all been having a great start to the week! Today I’m sharing a recipe with you that I’ve been loving lately. It’s super easy and healthy: spaghetti squash with homemade spinach basil pesto. Sounds amazing, right? Yes you can buy pesto, but the homemade version is a million times better. Trust me, it’ll be worth the extra 10 minutes. Oh and did I mention this recipe was paleo, gluten-free and vegan?!
