What better way to celebrate your birthday than with cake and rosé?
It’s that time of the year when the next senior class is anxiously waiting for school to finally be over. No matter how difficult it is to make it to the finish line, life after college is something to really look forward to. Graduating comes with a mix of emotions and challenges, but it’s completely worth the struggle to get there. Now that I’ve been done with school for almost a year now, I’ve already experienced some of the best things life post-college has to offer. The end of college can be bittersweet, but there are so many better things ahead. Here are some of the best things about life after college:
Three words: red power suit. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I attended the UW Fashion Week fashion show this past weekend. I was invited by the on-campus student-run fashion publication, Moda Magazine, who produced this fashion show finale. I had such a fun time and was so happy to spend my Friday night in Madison seeing the show. You can read about my experience in detail here. As for the outfit, I wanted to represent myself and my blog the best way I knew how:
I have a strong appreciation and admiration for designers who have the ability to translate their personal experiences, perspectives and vision into beautiful works of art – art that’s tangible and unlike anything else. Designers’ creations undoubtedly have a major influence within the rest of the industry and in our society. This brilliance doesn’t just pertain to the leading designers in the industry. The industry is full of emerging designers who are more interested in the diverse, inclusive future of fashion. This has been noticeably evident in the past couple seasons of NYFW as young designers are making their mark.
How is it already Friday? How are we already halfway through March?! Honestly, it freaks me out a bit how fast these last couples of weeks have gone. Time seems like it’s moving even faster now than it did in college…which I didn’t think was possible. But time flies when you’re having fun, right?
Hi loves! Happy New Year! It’s so exciting to have another year in the books – one filled with so many blessings, new experiences and new beginnings. For me, 2017 was a year that was very anticipated and I am so grateful that it was just as amazing as I hoped it’d be. I traveled to Europe for the first time – which was such a dream of mine, I graduated college – the ultimate accomplishment, began my first job in my career, and so much more.
With 2018 underway, I believe it’s important for everyone to reflect on the previous year. It’s important to acknowledge your accomplishments, your failures, and moments of happiness and sadness, to move forward and grow as an individual. With this, I’m not saying you should make New Year’s resolutions because I believe you can make a “resolution” at any time, but I want to inspire and encourage you all to really show up for yourself and take action for what you want – whether that’s right now or for the future. Making small changes, putting in effort for improvement, and creating good habits will truly give you drive and set you up for success. At the end of the day, the only person that will fight for your dreams is you; and you deserve to go after your dreams – because your dreams are possible.
Happy 2018 everyone and have an amazing year!
