If you know me, you know I love flowers. They make me so happy and just put a big smile on my face whenever I walk past them sitting on my table.
Mornings when you stand in front of your closet having no clue what to wear is a dilemma within itself. Sometimes it can feel like you have nothing to wear – even though you really do. Spicing up your outfits will make it feel like you have something new to wear with clothes you already own. The easiest way is to accessorize. Follow what I do below to accessorize the right amount for an effortless look:
I’m sure you all can relate: There are days when you wake up knowing it’s already going to be a bad day. Staying burrowed in bed is ideal but duty calls and you have to get on the work-grind. You’re not in your usual positive mood and nothing can make it better – maybe your morning coffee but we all know that lasts for only a half hour. When days like this come, I like to have a go-to outfit that I know will make me feel the slightest bit better in order to take on the day. Even just this boost of confidence can make all the difference. The motto look good, feel good can’t be more accurate here.
Weekends are all for having a not-so-structured routine and that’s what makes them so exciting to look forward to. They’re dedicated for relaxing, sleeping in, taking a stroll, brunching, watching more Netflix, and everything else your heart desires. I mean this is when I can finally enjoy my french press coffee after a week of tolerating the bland coffee at work(!). Exciting, I know…it’s the little things!
Whether you’re having a weekend full of me-time or spending it with friends, you want to keep it casual. Although, this doesn’t mean style has to be sacrificed for comfort. I’m not going to lie, I’m all about the cute and casual look – it’s the perfect outfit blend. Thankfully, mastering the casual chic look isn’t complicated. It only takes a few key points to effortlessly elevate your outfit.
Three words: red power suit. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I attended the UW Fashion Week fashion show this past weekend. I was invited by the on-campus student-run fashion publication, Moda Magazine, who produced this fashion show finale. I had such a fun time and was so happy to spend my Friday night in Madison seeing the show. You can read about my experience in detail here. As for the outfit, I wanted to represent myself and my blog the best way I knew how:
The menswear-inspired look couldn’t be more of-the-moment. I’m referring to the oversize, relaxed fit of trousers, pants, long coats, blazers, and even blazer dresses…sounds amazing right? If you’re worried about the silhouette, don’t. The unstructured style gives your usual day-to-day outfit an updated, cool look that is equally sophisticated, serious and effortless. Definitely suitable for 2018…complete pun intended. Strut into your workplace like a boss with this fresh workwear. Not only is the look ideal for the office, but you can easily dress it for your night out or weekend plans.
