Black is undeniably a foolproof, go-to style choice that is sure to look good for a night out. At the same time, ‘foolproof’ doesn’t mean it has to be the end-all-be-all uniform. Whether it’s a leopard print or a spicy hot red, the options are endless for a ootn ensemble that makes an unexpected, enticing statement.
Let’s be honest, the idea of V-Day is all fun and games until it comes down to a week before and you’re secretly freaking out about the surprises your SO is (or is not) planning for the romantic occasion. If you’re like me who has been in a long-term relationship before, you know that after the honeymoon phase, the holiday doesn’t have to be something extravagant or elaborate. But that doesn’t mean you can go the day without a bouquet 😉
Further shining light on 2018, I’ve rounded up my absolute favorite looks from this year, and as you can tell, a good amount of them are from certain events that I so happily got to dress up for. You know I love any excuse to get glammed up.
As much as I gravitate towards wearing neutrals and black, I love incorporating color and prints into my #ootd from time to time. Especially with the right outfit, a bold pop of color or print can look interesting and fresh. My favorite way to do this is pairing a statement sweater or jacket with an all neutral look.
Unfortunately we still have a few months of winter, but at least you can survive the rest of the season by investing in good winter boots. Nothing’s worse than braving the outside with gear that won’t shield you from the harsh weather. Like any other investment, winter boots can be pretty pricey depending on which ones you get. But if you live anywhere where there’s the possibility of a brutal winter, the investment is worth it.
If there’s one trend I’ve been loving this winter, it’s the teddy coat. What other coat would be more perfect to bundle up in and brace the crisp air? Not only does this look great on, but you can pair it with almost anything. Step up your winter #ootd and throw this on over a basic tee and jeans or even a holiday dress. It will complete your entire look. Plus, it will keep you warm when you have to truck around in the cold and snow. I’ve been obsessed with these, and I would be shocked if these didn’t make a major comeback for next winter too.
