What better way to celebrate your birthday than with cake and rosé?
It was my birthday yesterday and I turned the big 23! Let’s be real, 23 is generally viewed as one of those ages that’s not as exciting or something to look forward to. It’s not labeled as a “milestone” year. Even though this is a common perception, I view it as the opposite.
As I reflect on 22, it was a time in my life that was so long anticipated. Graduating college and beginning the first steps in my career was what I always imagined to be an incredible milestone – as it obviously is in many’s. And it was. In between the craziness of this new adult stage, my vision for the future has seamlessly become more clear. I’ve developed a more distinct picture of what I want in life and in my career. There are still so many unknowns of what the next year will bring, but I do know this: 23 will be another milestone year for me.
Really, it’s all about perception and how you view things. Any year, day or moment can be a milestone if that’s what you make of it. Any step, accomplishment, realization, or self-discovery is worth celebrating. Life’s worth celebrating. Be proud of where you’ve come and where you’re going.
THE BIRTHDAY CAKE
Let’s talk about this GORGEOUS cake. How pretty is this?! Mia, the amazingly talented baker and entrepreneur behind her business, Mia Stav Cakes, made this beauty for me for my birthday! It’s a dark chocolate cake with a layer of dark chocolate ganache, frosted with a vanilla bean buttercream and topped with real spring blooms. Sounds like an absolute dream right? Even though the weather stomped on my birthday parade a bit, this cake gave me all the spring birthday cheer I needed.
If you have any celebration coming up or just want to treat yoself, I highly recommend getting one of her cakes! You will be so happy you did. Thank you Mia for this unbelievable cake!
Thank you to everyone for wishing me a happy birthday and all of the sweet messages I received. Your care and support means the world to me. Celebrating my 23 birthday was special and I greatly look forward to what 23 has in store for me!
