Cheers to being halfway through the week loves! I hope you’ve all been having a productive week. I also wanted to give a huge congrats to those that graduated this semester! You might not know it yet, but you’re in for some of the best years of your life.
I was driving on my way home this afternoon and was having all of these thoughts running through my mind. (I find I have the most clarity while driving.) I felt that I needed to write these thoughts down and share them with you. I’ve been going through some changes in my life recently and I know a lot of you are as well – especially the newest graduates. For me, I feel like I’ve finally come to the point where I can accept and embrace change whether it’s wanted or not. Here’s why:
I full-heartedly believe that everything that happens in your life, happens for a reason. I know this because this ideology has been extremely apparent in my life countless times again and again. Through stressful, discouraging and, at times, depressing moments in my life, I never understood why I was experiencing what I was. It was only after I got through those difficult situations that I realized how necessary they were for my journey.
I’ve come to realize that change allows you to learn and discover things about yourself that you wouldn’t have otherwise. Change can obviously be thrilling and exciting, but it can also be scary and uncomfortable. These specifically are made for you to endure – they’re life’s tests. It’s not a coincidence you experience what you do, it happens on purpose to make you stronger because of it.
It’s important to be able to mentally take a step back and acknowledge that where you are in your life is exactly where you need to be. That those difficult situations you’re experiencing are a part of your journey.
For your well-being, embrace change because it’s simply meant to be.
