DETAILS: REVOLVE X CHRISSY TEIGEN DRESS | STEVE MADDEN HEELS | ALDO BAG
It may not be the fashion capital of the U.S., but that doesn’t disregard the fashion inspiration and talent that does exist in Milwaukee. I’ve called Milwaukee home for almost 5 years now and it is far more underrated than outsiders realize – even Vogue agrees. Not only do we have such a cool, diverse atmosphere to experience, but the amount of talented creatives hustling in this city is something to take note of. A lot of these individuals are boss fashionistas, bloggers and designers who I’ve already had the pleasure to meet and work with.
A lot of these creatives were all brought together recently at Milwaukee Fashion Week. I was so excited to attend – especially in this amazing dress by Revolve. This dress was a standout in my eyes – the color, structure and silhouette were perfection. When I first tried it on I knew I immediately had to wear it for the event. The low neckline was flattering within itself, but the long sleeves and cinched waist gave the most beautiful shape that fit my small frame. For the rest of the look, I kept it simple with nude heeled sandals and a studded bucket bag from Aldo.
As for the collections, there was an interesting blend of theatrical, lingerie and ready-to-wear. Unique to each designer, the collections were a true reflection of their individual love and passion for fashion. This was obviously transparent as each model walked down the runway. From show to show I was repeatedly surprised by the variety of styles, colors, textures, and themes – there were no similarities. These collections embodied diversity and individuality that was unexpected but truly a fresh presentation amongst the clothing normally expected. Each of these creatives defintely march to the beat of their own drum and own vision.
Shout out to Brian Mattinson for capturing some of the most beautiful photos of my blogger gang in the front row – they’re stunning 😍
Thank you MKEFW for having me and letting me be a part of this fun experience. I can’t wait to attend next year.
