Thanks to quarantine, I’ve never worn makeup less. Simply skipping my makeup routine has given me the ultimate glow-up. More importantly, it’s changed my perception on how I view my natural beauty. When I do put makeup on now, I apply the essentials to enhance my features. Less really is more.
For my summer makeup routine, applying a moisturizer and an SPF comes first. Doing these steps beforehand keeps my skin plump and radiant, creating an amazing base for the rest of my beauty look.
For the summertime, I recommend switching out a full-coverage foundation for this creamy concealer from Ilia. I only apply the concealer where needed (around my eye area and under my nose), to let my skin breathe while still creating a brightening effect. I set the concealer with a translucent powder to avoid creasing. To create definition, I use the RMS Beauty Buriti Bronzer in the hollows of my cheeks, around the perimeter of my face, temples, and on my eyelids. This warms up my face and gives me that bronzy finish we all love. To add an extra hint of highlight to my cheekbones and inner corners of the eyes, this illuminator has been my favorite to do just that.
I’m obsessed with cream blushes. They give you the most beautiful, healthy glow and color. I’m currently obsessed with the Olio E Osso lip and cheek balms. The formula contains minimal ingredients and is so incredibly buttery. It practically melts into your skin. I tend to reach for the crimson shade as the red tint gives me the most natural flush. I sweep this across my cheeks and pop it on the bridge of my nose for a chic, sunkissed look. This is my favorite ’90s beauty trick. I don’t forget to blend some onto my lips as well.
