The first of many fashion shows to attend!
With a venue of a rooftop bar overlooking downtown, on top of one of the most luxurious hotels in Milwaukee, you wouldn’t be surprised to hear how excited I was to attend the NL Suits fashion show.
NL Suits, designed by Nas Laine, is a high-end custom suits brand based in the Third Ward. Celebrating seven years as one of Milwaukee’s leading men’s fashion brands, Laine showcased his custom pieces for close friends and local admirers.
The energetic vibe and lively crowd made the entire show that much more exciting. The models energy matched the audience’s perfectly as sleek, classic suits were showcased down the runway. Even more, Laine undoubtedly surprised the audience with modern, bold twists in his pieces. Ranging from the classic suits in black, navy, and grey, to pops of color in yellow, shimmering silver, and red, the line was effortlessly bold and sophisticated.
For the show, I wore this gorgeous midi dress from J.O.A. What I loved about this dress was that it had all the right elements of trendy while being equally as elegant. In a deep amber brown hue, this dress had a one side cold shoulder, draping along the bust, a tie waist, and a side slit. This dress laid beautifully on the body and the cut was flattering. It was the perfect garment to wear to a fall fashion show. For shoes, I kept it simple with heel sandals from Steve Madden.
Take a look into the fashion show:
This fashion show has made me so eager to attend more in the (near) future! It’s truly inspiring to see the creativity and hard work that goes into a designer’s collection. Really, it’s inspiring to see people so passionate about what they love and doing what they love to do.
P.S. Hint, hint this won’t be the last time you see a post about men’s fashion. Stay tuned 😉
